CURTIS, Neb. – The first NCTA Discovery Day for 2019 is Monday (March 4) at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.

“NCTA Discovery Day” begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and adjourns at 2 p.m., said Emily Griffiths, NCTA recruiting coordinator.

“We are an open enrollment institution and I invite prospective students to explore our academic programs, learn about the low-cost, hands-on quality courses at NCTA, and have one-on-one conversations with faculty and advisors,” Griffiths said.

NCTA is part of the University of Nebraska and is the sole campus in the NU system which emphasizes two-year degree programs and specialty courses in agriculture or veterinary technology.

Tuition is $131.50 per credit hour regardless of state of residency. A session about financial aid is designed for parents.

Students can view displays and presentations from NCTA Aggie collegiate teams and student organizations.

Tours will include residence halls, classrooms, the indoor arena, and student services Welcome Center.

Pre-registration is requested by March 1 for a lunch count and to indicate interest in academic programs. See the online form at https://ncta.unl.edu/discovery-days.

Once students apply and are approved for admission to NCTA, they will be encouraged to attend a New Student Enrollment session. There will be one at NCTA in April.
