We are seeking a punctual and responsible individual who enjoys feedlot nutrition for calling the delivery of feed daily and assisting the feeding team throughout the day. This individual would play an integral role in the safe delivery of feed to our cattle every day.

This person will be responsible for:

Supporting/driving the overall safety strategy of the company. Exemplifying safety expectations.

Determining daily feed calls based on cattle intake patterns, cattle type, weight, health, and weather.

Supporting feed truck crew to ensure correct, accurate, and timely delivery of all rations.

Providing management of bunk cleaning/scraping schedule.

Completing daily quality bunk checks throughout the yard.

Monitoring and maintaining reports and information flow to computers by inputting records in accordance with FDA, QA, and Progressive Beef to ensure quality production and data integrity.

Supporting a culture with a focus on effective equipment maintenance by:

Ensuring that equipment is maintained, greased, washed, and preventive maintenance activities are completed in a timely fashion.

Submitting work orders for repairs; and

Ensuring completion of maintenance by conducting spot checks.

Communication and Leadership support:

Leading shift start-up meetings.

Assisting the scheduling feeding personnel, ensuring coverage on a day-to-day basis.

Training and developing new and current team members, while communicating progress and areas of opportunity to management.

Working closely with all levels of the organization and promoting effective and positive relationships with other teams.

Skills and qualifications:

Previous Feeding experience is beneficial.

Previous leadership experience is beneficial.

Commitment to safety and quality culture.

Exceptional ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.

Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task.

High attention to detail.

Professional communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills.

Individual must be team oriented.

Serve all customers both internally and externally with a positive, professional, respectful and courteous attitude with honesty and integrity.

Strong computer skills

Physical requirements:

Must have valid driver's license.

Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.

Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing and sitting frequently; walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally.

Compensation Details:

Starting Wage: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour
