Jordan GonzalesJordan Gonzales, Associate Director of the Nebraska Alumni Association and recipient of the prestigious, nation-wide Council of Alumni Association Executives" Preo Fellowship at the age of 27, will share his journey as a first-generation college student.

Jordan Gonzales became associate director of the Nebraska Alumni Association in August 2017. In this role, Gonzales works closely with the University of Nebraska Foundation, University of Nebraska–Lincoln administrators, young alumni, students, and campus community to encourage the active participation of alumni and friends with the university.

Jordan began working for the alumni association in July 2015 as adviser for the Nebraska Student Alumni Association’s 1,400 students and managed a variety of initiatives including the Nebraska Legends scholarship program and Young Alumni Academy. A native of Morrill, Neb., Gonzales received his bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. As an undergraduate, he served as president of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Cornerstone UNK, Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, and was elected UNK student body president and student regent. Gonzales recently earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from UNL. He received the prestigious, nation-wide Council of Alumni Association Executives’ Preo Fellowship at the age of 27 and currently serves as leadership council secretary for the 1,800-member Lincoln Young Professionals Group.

Jordan married his best friend, Ellen, in July 2016 and resides in Omaha.
