Job Description
- Wild Horse Creek Ranch is looking for a full time ranch hand to join our family owned, multi thousand acre cow calf operation in the Nebraska Sandhills.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things the ranch way. Someone who can ride all day, handle cattle, work hard when nobody is watching, and get the job done without needing to be told what needs doing.
The right person will be a self-starter, dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working both independently and alongside a crew. Good horsemanship, a good attitude, and respect for cattle, horses, and the land are important.
Cattle work on a large-scale operation, primarily horseback.
This is a hands-on position where the work is real, the country is big, and no two days are exactly the same.
Qualifications or Skills Required
Agricultural background and ranch experience are preferred. Experience operating and maintaining farm and ranch equipment is also preferred. Applicants must have their own tack. No dogs.
