Johnson Land & Cattle is a cow/calf and stocker operation located north of Cody. Heifers start calving in April, cows are calved in May/June. Calves are weaned and backgrounded on the ranch and the steers run over on grass. We utilize horses and ATVs both, depending on the task.
Duties would include:
calving
fence repair
haying
basic machinery maintenance
branding/preconditioning/cattle processing
This job could be an internship or full time employment.
Any stockmanship skills or knowledge of machinery would be helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. The right person would have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Nice home, utilities, pickup, and beef are provided.
Salary is negotiable and would be based off of experience or capability.
