Job Description 

  • The Golf Course Construction & Irrigation Intern will work directly with the Project Superintendent and field team to gain hands-on experience in golf course irrigation installation and construction. This internship is designed to provide broad exposure to golf course infrastructure, offering practical field experience and professional industry insight for individuals pursuing a career in golf course management, construction, irrigation, or turfgrass management.
    Learning Objectives & Responsibilities
    As an intern, you will be exposed to all phases of golf course construction and irrigation installation, including but not limited to:
    • Assisting with site management of materials and equipment
    • Supporting daily crew coordination and field operations
    • Installing irrigation piping and fittings
    • Assisting with irrigation layout based on consultant design plans
    • Installing irrigation heads and wire systems
    • Supporting installation and setup of central irrigation computer systems and satellite components (when applicable)
    • Participating in construction of golf course features such as bunkers, tees, fairways, and greens
    • Observing and collaborating with irrigation designers, architects, and Golf Course Superintendents
    • Gaining experience in overall golf course infrastructure development

Qualifications or Skills Required
Educational Requirements
• Currently enrolled in a 2–4 years (including online) Turfgrass, Agronomy, or Construction Management program.

Special Requirements
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous golf course or construction experience is not required


Salary and Benefits
• Hourly Range $22 – $30 or Salary
