Job Description/Duties
Sandhills Elite Genetics is seeking a Technology Services Support/Installation Technician who will be responsible for the onsite installation, testing and support of network/surveillance/computer/technology products. Installation responsibilities include coordinating the delivery of equipment, installing the product on multiple sites, validating network connectivity and testing /surveillance/software and functionality on site.
Responsibilities:
- Acquisition of new technology, including but not limited to, surveillance systems, network infrastructure, and other electronic equipment
- Work with managers on installation
- Review and modify installation documentation as required
- Maintain and quality check existing systems
- Participate in project management as needed and provide support
- Communicate and coordinate delivery and installation with managers
- Configure and test equipment before delivery to site
- Unpack, install, and configure physical equipment at sites
- Test applications
- Troubleshoot and upgrade equipment
- Assist in the training of Farm Managers and Supervisors
- Occasional travel required
Qualifications or Skills Required
- 2 years-experience of technological systems device installation slot machines, kiosks or computers and related
- 2 years technical experience with the following:
- Windows Based Operating Systems, including IIS knowledge and SQL Server
- Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills
- Ability to anticipate and drive change
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Excellent customer service skills
Experience:
- Computer Hardware Installation: 1 year (Required)
- Technical Experience w/ Windows OS: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:
- IT Certificate (preferred but not required)
- 2-yr IT Program (preferred but not required)
