NCTA Veterinary Technology Exit Exam
The NCTA Exit Exam is one required criterion for the Veterinary Technician Option. To be eligible to take this exam, the student must be able to have successfully completed (except for internship) all required credit hours.
The Exit exam is administered twice during your final Spring semester – the first time is practice, and the second is the exam (we will take the highest grade of these two takes). The examination must be passed with 70%. The NCTA Vet Tech Exit Exam will be provided by Vet Tech Prep Association. It will mimic the National Licensing Exam in domains and the number of questions in each domain. The test will contain 150-175 questions with a time limit of 3 hours.
If the NCTA Veterinary Technology Exit Exam is not passed it may be retaken the following year when the testing window opens. The cost of the repeat test will be the student’s responsibility and is estimated at $50.00 (our cost of purchasing the test from Vet Tech Prep).
