Job Description/Duties:
This three doctor small animal practice is seeking a self-motivated, friendly, and professional veterinary technician to join our team. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care. Tasks include but are not limited to: handling animals, performing pre-and post-operative patient care, preparing prescriptions, completing lab tests, taking X-rays, performing dentals, monitoring anesthetic, treating patients and assisting veterinarians. Qualifications or Skills Required:
The position requires someone who is a team player, an excellent communicator, and is eager to learn. Since this can be a fast-paced work environment, the ability to multi-task and prioritize duties will be advantageous. Proficiency in skills such as the following are necessary: IV catheter placement, IM and SQ injections, lab work, monitoring anesthesia, taking X-rays, monitoring IVs, performing dentals, and other animal care duties.
