Technician Wanted: Central City Veterinary Clinic is a professional and progressive mixed animal clinic committed to providing outstanding service and care for our regional cow herds and feedlots as well as our growing companion animal clientele. Our well-equipped hospital was built in 2015 and includes a heated large-animal barn with hydraulic tilt and calf chutes, OB chute, and safe cattle handling facilities. We also have a hydraulic chute that allows for country work when needed. Our clinic enjoys companion animal medicine and surgery and has updated in-house blood machines (Idexx 360), gas anesthesia, digital x-ray, high-speed dentistry and ultrasounds. The best representation of our business is our team of people, which includes 2 veterinarians, 2.5 technicians, 2.5 assistants, a customer service rep, a part-time office manager, a groomer, and weekend kennel staff. Requirements:
Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures (e.g., collect samples, microscope interpretation, draw blood, place iv catheters, induce and monitor anesthesia and perform dental radiographs).
Ability to maintain clear and accurate records as well as charge clients accurately for all products and services rendered.
Ability to properly restrain patients.
Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects greater than 40 pounds with assistance.
Ability to stand on your feet and work energetically for up to 6 hours at a time.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in time allotted without direct supervision.
Ability to assist in processing cows and calves, move cattle through our handling facility and assist doctor’s at the chute.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, outstanding customer service in person and via phone, and the ability to work well with other team members is essential.
