Job Description
- Jacobson Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician. We are a well established, multi-doctor practice that is exclusively small animal. Our clinic takes pride in provided a friendly, supportive and enjoyable atmosphere. We offer a competitive wage with a benefit package. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8am-6pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm. All after-hour emergencies are reffered to an emergency clinic.
Responsibility to include, but not limited to:
*Complete laboratory tests and collection: blood, fecal, urine.
*Properly operate xray machine, in house lab machines. Regular maintenane on machines.
*Place IV catheters, prep for surgeries, prepare surgical packs, maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic.
*Monitor anesthesia and records.
*Administer medications, and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian.
*Maintain inventory, verify invoices, update as needed.
*Restrain pets. Must be able to life and/ormove 50lbs.
*Must be reliable, dependable and flexible.
*Must provide excellent customer service, multi-tasking and close attention to detail.
*Knowledge of Avimark software a plus.
*Friendly & outgoing and loves dogs & cats!!
