Assist Yearling Foreman with a variety of tasks to develop yearling steers and breeding heifers to optimum weights.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Feeding ration in feedyard and delivering supplement to grazing animals (operate loader, feed truck, tractor)
Building and taking down temporary fence on cornstalks and other grazing forages
Moving, doctoring, processing livestock.
Facilities upkeep and repair.
Assisting cow/calf Herd Managers as needed
General ranch work
Must be willing and able to take direction from Yearling Foreman to complete assigned tasks with a team and by themselves. Horsemanship skills are preferred
Understanding of basic animal health and nutrient requirements.
Possess stockmanship skills and demonstrate BQA production practices
Ability to: operate heavy equipment, identify sick/injured livestock, perform physical labor
Willingness to: work in all kinds of weather, be open minded and eager to learn from others, express a positive, go getter attitude.
