Job Description
- Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant needed for a busy, large animal, three veterinarian practice in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Clinic office hours are Monday – Friday 8 - 5:30 and Saturdays 8 - Noon (rotate every third weekend). No on call for support staff.
Cattle duties - assisting with processing cattle for herd work and surgeries/procedures, giving vaccinations and treatments, recording data, writing health papers, nursing/supportive care to hospitalized patients, and operating hydraulic and manual chutes. Work may include at the clinic, on client's ranches, and at the salebarn.
Equine duties - assisting in examinations, treatments/vaccinations, documentation for coggins testing and health papers and restraint.
Qualifications or Skills Required
Experience with cattle and horses preferred, but will train the right application.
Salary and Benefits
