Job Description
- Patient Care: Perform triage, initial assessments, and nursing care for diverse cases.
Medical Support: Assist in surgeries, monitor anesthesia, perform dental prophylaxis, blood draws, vaccinations, I.V. catheter placement.
Diagnostics: Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, cytology), operate digital radiography and laser therapy.
Pharmacy & Treatment: Calculate and administer medications as directed by veterinarians.
Client Education: Act as a bridge between the veterinarian and the pet parent, explaining treatment plans and follow-up care.
Qualifications or Skills Required
Licensure: Valid Veterinary Technician certification (LVT) or ability to obtain one within a year.
Personal Skills: A collaborative spirit and a "people-first" approach to medicine.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with practice management software (Shepherd system) preferred but not required.
