Position Title: Cattle Operations Intern

Job Description:
This person will be responsible for:
- Assisting in all aspects of feedlot operations.
- Processing of incoming cattle and sorting of current cattle inventory at our South Feedlot, includes: giving vaccinations, castration, tagging, implanting, and using topical pour-ons.
- Assisting mobile hospital team with all cattle doctoring, temping, cattle movement.
- Working with the Feeding and Mill team to deliver precise rations accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining and repairing feedlot fences, steel structures, and other feedlot infrastructures that sustain optimum cattle welfare and containment.
Qualifications or Skills Required:
Ideal candidate would possess the following skill set and experience:
- Computer experience.
- Mechanical interest and aptitude.
- Beef Quality Assurance experience.
- Commitment to safety and quality culture.
- Two years of cattle handling and cattle health experience.
- Preferred majors include Animal Science, Feedlot Management, Cattle Health and other Ag related majors.
