The Farm Bureau Club at NCTA is open to any student with an interest in agriculture. The club helps students learn about current issues affecting farmers, ranchers, and the agricultural industry in Nebraska and across the United States. Members also gain a better understanding of how agricultural policy is developed and how organizations like Farm Bureau represent and advocate for agriculture.
Club activities include:
- Guest speakers who discuss current issues affecting agriculture
- Field trips to explore Nebraska’s agricultural industry
- An annual trip to the Nebraska State Capitol to meet with state senators and Farm Bureau representatives
- Attending the Nebraska Farm Bureau Annual Meeting each December
- Attending the Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference each January
