Job Description
The Family Pet Clinic is a fast-paced small animal clinic conveniently located in the northwest corner of Grand Island open Monday through Friday. Our clients are provided with a variety of services including digital radiology, ultrasound, gas anesthesia, laser therapy, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, energetic veterinary technician with a current, active Nebraska license to join our team. Our technicians play a key role in providing excellent veterinary service to our clients by collecting samples, running diagnostic tests, applying laser therapy, monitoring anesthesia, assisting with surgical procedures, capturing radiographs, restraining pets, caring for hospitalized patients, performing dental prophies, administering treatments, answering the phone, entering billing charges, maintaining medical records, and providing client education.
Qualifications or Skills Required
-Current active Nebraska Veterinary Technician License.
-Comprehensive knowledge of small animal veterinary procedures, preventative care, and safe animal restraint techniques.
-Proficient in obtaining and processing blood, urine, fecal, and skin samples.
-Experience and knowledge of small animal radiographic positioning and image capture, anesthesia administration and monitoring, and surgical assistance and monitoring.
-Strong work ethic, good attendance, positive attitude, and ability to work well with other staff members.
-Effective oral and written communication skills with staff as well as clients.
