An Ag Business Economic Symposium has been announced for Feb. 15, 2017, at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.

Mary Rittenhouse, assistant professor and division chair of the NCTA Ag Business Management Systems division, announced the inaugural campus initiative last week.

Ag Business Club students from will be assisting NCTA’s AMS faculty in hosting the daylong symposium to be held at the Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center on campus.

The symposium will feature agricultural ownership and management transition, legal and estate planning, real estate and insurance, and marketing.  Featured speaker will be Cortney Cowley, economist with Omaha Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, who will discuss “Tightening in the Ag Belt.”
