High School Students Register by January 16 for Dual Credit

High school students looking to get a head start on college and explore career pathways in agriculture, animal health, business, and natural resources are encouraged to act quickly. The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) is offering Spring 2026 dual credit courses, with a January 16 registration deadline.

Dual credit courses allow students to earn college credit while still in high school, saving time and tuition while gaining early exposure to career-focused coursework taught by NCTA faculty with strong industry and academic backgrounds. Credits transfer within the University of Nebraska system and to many partner institutions.

Spring Dual Credit Course Options include:

  • AGR 1011 Agriculture Careers
  • AGR 1103 Crop Science
  • AGR 1213 Natural Resources Management
  • ASI 1304 Animal Management
  • ECN 1103 Intro to Ag Economics
  • VTS 1301 Medical Terminology
  • VTS 1513 Animal Care
  • VTE 2423 Canine and Feline Nutrition
  • VTE 2821 Radiation Safety

Students interested in early college opportunities are encouraged to begin the enrollment process immediately.
