Job Description
- Ericksen Ranch is located in the Sandhills of Nebraska! Approximately 60 miles south of Valentine or 23 miles north of Mullen. We are a cow-calf/yearling operation. We run a black angus herd and start calving heifers in March and cows April 1. We use ATV’s and horses depending on the situation. Branding season is the last part of May. We AI heifers and some cows. Do a fair amount of haying in the summer as well.
We are looking for someone that can work with others but also has no problem working on their own. Hardworking, honest, reliable, loyal, are some great traits to have! This job will include calving, being able to identify and treat sick cattle, fencing, general cattle work, haying, checking water, feeding, and general ranch upkeep.
We have housing with a great lake view!
Qualifications or Skills Required
Calving experience would be great!
Salary and Benefits
Salary is very competitive and depends on experience.
