The students at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture have wrapped up an amazing year!
In the past week, we celebrated awards activities, inducted new initiates into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and conferred 88 certificates and degrees to the Class of 2017 at commencement last Thursday.
The futures of our graduates will be exciting and varied.

CURTIS, Neb. - Seventeen students were installed Wednesday as new members into the Alpha Iota Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society in Curtis.
Students of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture gathered with parents, friends and current PTK members at the Education Center auditorium.
Semester finals were complete and commencement events opened with the annual induction ceremony before commencement at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The academic honorary recognizes the academic achievements of two-year college students.

A Nebraskan who is a lifelong agriculturist and industry leader will deliver the commencement address to the Class of 2017 at the University of Nebraska’s College of Technical Agriculture.
Greg Ibach, director of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, will be the keynote speaker for the Class of 2017 Aggie graduates of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
The ceremony is at 1:30 p.m. on May 4 at the Curtis Memorial Community Center, 201 Garlick Avenue.

CURTIS, Neb. - First-hand experience and opportunities to see veterinary care in action are some of the best teaching tools in the stable.
This week, at a veterinary clinic which specializes in equine care, three students from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis stepped into that surgical classroom.
“Our field trip to the Equine Veterinary Associates clinic in Grand Island was an awesome experience,” says Rachel Schmitz, an NCTA second-year veterinary technology student from O’Neill.
