COLUMBUS, Neb. – A new college program aimed at dairy production in Nebraska will be outlined Feb. 21 at the Nebraska State Dairy Association convention in Columbus.
The dairy production curriculum which is slated to be offered starting this fall at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis will be summarized for dairy producers and industry leaders during the NSDA conference.

Ag economist to keynote Feb. 15 public forum Monday, January 30, 2017

Curtis, Neb. – An agricultural economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will deliver the keynote address at an Ag Business Economic Symposium in Curtis on February 15.
Cortney Cowley, who is based at the Federal Reserve’s offices in Omaha, Neb., is the luncheon speaker at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture’s forum. Four regional businesses are also program presenters.

Curtis, Neb. – Starting this fall, tuition rates at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will be alike for resident and non-resident students.
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents approved the single rate tuition plan a Jan. 27th meeting in Lincoln.

NCTA names Dean’s Awards, Honor Roll Thursday, January 12, 2017

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture at Curtis announced academic honors for the fall semester of 2016 with 68 students recognized by NCTA Dean Ron Rosati.
Six Aggies were named to the Dean’s List with a 4.00 grade point average and 62 students were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll with 3.50-3.99 GPA, said Dean Rosati.
Students must be fulltime enrollees, with at least 12 credit hours for the semester to be eligible for this designation.

NCTA to host “Feed the World” forum on Jan. 10 Wednesday, January 4, 2017

Curtis, Neb. – Mark Poeschel, Nebraska State FFA President from 1978-79, will be featured at a public forum discussing “Leadership and Sustainability: The Balancing Act to Feed the World” on January 10 at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Poeschl’s presentation at 7 p.m. will kick off the 2017 season of the University of Nebraska Heuermann Lecture Series which is held at Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln and telecast at the NCTA Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center.
