NCTA Dean’s Message
By Interim Dean Kelly Bruns, Ph.D.
It’s truly been an eventful week in Curtis!
Our Aggie students are making a fine transition to taking their classes off campus through “remote” learning, online through the internet.
Technology tossed in a few glitches in our first full week of the new learning format.
But, for the most part, all were back in the saddle, literally and figuratively in a few days’ time.

The campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture has beckoned to Josi Arnold three times in her life.
"My story at NCTA began in 2011, when I started as a Veterinary Technology student,” says the Colorado native.
“When I came to Curtis, I didn’t know anyone. It quickly grew to feel more like home than my hometown!”
Arnold graduated in 2014 in Veterinary Technology Systems with an associate of applied science degree with two options, veterinary assistant and animal husbandry.

It’s National Agriculture Week!
As I write this weekly message, it is National Ag Day across the United States and at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
Our 2020 observance may be muted by current events around the globe. Nonetheless, we recognize the immense contributions made by those who produce the food, fiber and fuel needed to feed the world.

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture is observing National Agriculture Week, March 22-28, as well as NCTA's student Spring Break.
Thank you to all agricultural producers of our nation's food, fiber and fuels.
We salute the dedicated individuals and families who are the backbone of American agriculture.
Farmers and ranchers are the backbone of rural Nebraska, rural communities and the University of Nebraska's only two-year institution, the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

CURTIS, Neb. - It's spring time in Nebraska!
A winter storm that brought harsh winds and snowfall on Thursday evening left an idyllic scene Friday morning outside of Agriculture Hall at the campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Jeremy Sievers, associate professor of agribusiness management systems (AMS), captured a picturesque moment shortly after sidewalks were cleared by NCTA maintenance staff on Friday.
The AMS division is housed in the historic Ag Hall, the first building to be constructed at the camps in 1912.
