As students and faculty return for a new semester of classes in Kearney, Lincoln, Omaha and Curtis, I’m reminded again of how lucky I am to be able to serve at a place like the University of Nebraska.

Our campus officially soon returns to full swing as students return from their holiday break this weekend and second semester classes begin Monday.
Things had been fairly quiet after final exams and the holiday break started on December 21. However, not everyone was away from campus for the duration of the University break.

Academic success for Aggie students is first and foremost in the New Year of 2020 as second semester classes begin on January 13.

Aggies who participate in student clubs and campus organizations have a voice in leadership at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
The NCTA Student Senate is comprised of the representatives of the 20 clubs and teams at the agricultural campus, said KayLee Rasmussen of Burwell, Student Senate president.
“Each of the clubs or teams sends a first-year and second-year student to serve on the senate,” said Rasmussen, an animal science major who is secretary of the Aggies Shotgun Sports Team.

CURTIS, Neb. – The University of Nebraska has launched a national search for the next Dean of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
“The university is seeking an innovative, dynamic, and entrepreneurial individual in technical agriculture and higher education who will provide intellectual and strategic leadership for the college in Curtis,” said Michael Boehm, vice president of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska.

KEARNEY, Neb. – Four members of Collegiate Farm Bureau from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis got a glimpse of member advocacy and policy development at a state convention in Kearney this week.
"This was my first time experiencing this great event,” freshman Jacob Jenkins of Mitchell said about the Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation’s annual conference.
