CURTIS, Neb. – Graduates of the NCTA Class of 2019 were urged to find their passion and be a “problem solver” in their career to achieve success.

Nearly 75 graduates, some as double academic majors at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, received diplomas before a packed gymnasium on May 2 at the Curtis Memorial Community Center.

CURTIS, Neb. – Thirty two Aggie students from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis tested their agricultural knowledge recently at a national collegiate competition in Murray, Kentucky.

Students from NCTA, known as the “Curtis ag school” and the sole two-year campus within the University of Nebraska system, competed in 12 of the 15 events for two-year colleges.

PTK honor society inducts 20 NCTA Aggies Saturday, May 4, 2019

CURTIS, Neb. – Twenty students were inducted Wednesday as new members into the Alpha Iota Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society at  Curtis.

Initiates gathered with current PTK members for the annual candle-lighting installation ceremony at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

The academic honorary recognizes academic achievements of students attending a two-year college. It provides opportunities for growth and development through honors, leadership and service.

Judging camp, animal science youth day May 22-23 Monday, April 29, 2019

CURTIS, Neb. – Youth can triple-dip on science, livestock and fun May 22-23 in Curtis, and stay overnight at a college campus, to boot.

Best to wear the boots, actually, and toss in a bed roll, pillow and overnight supplies.

Youth ages 8 to 18 can attend a livestock camp and animal science field day with hands-on training in evaluating livestock and exploring science.

Activities will be at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

 Our Aggie students are in the last week of the academic year at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Enthusiasm is high for year-end programs and graduation events on May 1 and 2.

As we prepare for final exams starting Thursday, our veterinary technology students out on internships are saying goodbye to their employers and animal care settings.

CURTIS, Neb. – Giddy and wide-eyed, 40 NCTA students tapped into their inner child and anxiously waited for the whistle indicating that they could hunt down Easter eggs, at night, on a darkened football field.

CURTIS, Neb. – A first-year veterinary technology and agribusiness student at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, Ivana Burgos, was recently named April’s Aggie of the Month.

Burgos is from Grand Island.

She was nominated for the student award by Professor Mary Rittenhouse, chair of NCTA’s Agribusiness Management Systems.
