CURTIS, Neb.  – Cash Talamantez of Lisco, Nebraska, is an Aggie of the Month at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.      

He was named Aggie of the Month for December, 2017, said NCTA Dean Ron Rosati.

Talamantez was selected by NCTA faculty, staff and peers in various leadership positions at the two-year agriculture college.

The 2015 graduate of Bridgeport High School plans a career in a western Nebraska agriculture industry after his graduation in May.

When Lacey Johnson first came to college at Curtis in 2007 her sights were set primarily on academics in veterinary technology.

Along the way during three years of studies, she was influenced by Professor Judy Bowmaster-Cole in a dog obedience class. Lacey gained interest in how a well-trained stock dog could help in safe handling of livestock.

DENVER - Livestock judging students from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis won 20th High Team overall in collegiate competition at the 112th National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.

“We had a solid couple of days and the team placed the highest of an Aggie team at the Denver contest in at least 10 years, perhaps longer,” said Coach Doug Smith.

This week we remember and celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., a man who pursued many of the same goals addressed at NCTA: education, economic development, personal development, and human dignity.

CURTIS, Neb. – Limited irrigation concerns may prompt crop producers to consider planting grain sorghum this year.

Agronomy students at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will join the region’s crop producers on January 18th to learn why grain sorghum is a viable crop for southwestern Nebraska.

CURTIS, Neb. – A private practice veterinarian specializing in beef cattle and equine health has joined the faculty of Veterinary Technology programs at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Darcy Moreland, DVM, joined the NCTA faculty fulltime last week. NCTA spring semester classes started Monday.
