CURTIS, Neb. – The Aggies of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture are traveling again for an out-of-state rodeo at the end of September.
NCTA Aggie Rodeo goes to Fort Dodge, Iowa on Sept. 27-28 when Iowa Central Community College hosts athletes from the Great Plains Region.
They are idle this weekend after a double header in North Platte on Sept. 12-14. Also, one cowboy took in the season opener at River Falls, Wisconsin.

CURTIS, Neb. – The collegiate team for shotgun sports at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis will open its season this weekend in Lincoln.
The match, hosted by Midland University of Fremont, is the 5th Annual Ice-Out Invitational on Sept. 20-22 hosted at Lincoln Trap & Skeet.
Aggies participating will be Trevor Kuhn, Omaha; David Jelken, Hastings; Tucker Hodsden, Lyman; Colby Mitchell, Burwell; and Scott Taylor, Curtis.

Aggie livestock team to Amarillo Monday, September 16, 2019

AMARILLO, Texas – The Aggie Livestock Judging Team from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska earned a fifth place overall last week at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo.
Second-year livestock evaluators from NCTA had their highest team score in sheep and goats placing third. They were fourth in swine, fifth in cattle placings and sixth in oral reasons.

What is the value of the bills in this jar?”
That snagged the attention of curious college students when agribusiness major Kathryn Schick of Curtis picked up the large plastic jar.
On opening day of classes at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Schick staffed the information table at an event fair featuring Aggie clubs and teams.

CURTIS, Neb. – Agricultural, agribusiness and veterinary technology careers will be featured by NCTA in Curtis at regional college fairs during September and early October.
NCTA recruiters will attend the 60- or 90-minutes sessions September 9-11 at Mullen, Alliance, Chadron, Scottsbluff, Sidney and Ogallala; and September 17-18 at O’Neill, Ainsworth, Ord and Broken Bow.
The University of Nebraska’s only two-year institution is the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.

For those readers who attended the 150th Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island – and especially for those individuals and families involved in open class and youth exhibits in 4-H and FFA – I extend a hearty note of appreciation.

Collegiate Farm Bureau to reorganize Tuesday, September 3, 2019

CURTIS, Neb. – The Collegiate Farm Bureau Club at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will have its reorganizational meeting Thursday at 5 p.m.
President Clade Anderson of Otis, Kansas, a sophomore majoring in agronomy said any NCTA student is welcome to attend. The meeting will be in the NCTA Education Center, with food served for attendees.
