Dogs and cats were pampered and veterinary technician students chalked up practical learning experiences at a recent “Spa Day” at their college in Curtis.

The Student Technicians of Veterinary Medicine Association (STVMA) from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis hosted their popular spring cleaning, a biannual Spa Day on April 8.

Andrea Burkhardt has left a visible imprint upon the Aggie campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

She was named Aggie of the Month for March by her peers, NCTA staff and faculty.

The Winnetoon, Nebraska, native is a third-year horticulture and agribusiness student who will graduate in May, then pursue her career in floral design.

Quentin Anderson is headed to college thanks, in part, to his skill with horses.

The Pierce High School senior and FFA chapter treasurer will graduate in May, then head to the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.

There, he will double major in animal science and agribusiness, and compete with NCTA Aggie Rodeo in calf roping.

Anderson was among Nebraska FFA members who recently earned Equine Science Proficiency Awards at the Nebraska FFA Convention.

McCook, Neb. – The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture Ranch Horse Team won third place amid six colleges at the April 8-9 “Punchy in Pink” Stock Horse Show in McCook.

The NCTA Aggies hosted the two-day show and coordinated all of the activities including a fun fundraising race for breast cancer, lining up the cattle for the stock handling competitions in working cow horse, and running the show.
