CURTIS, Neb. - Aggie students with the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture were volunteers at the 2017 Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island.
The 10-day fair ended Labor Day with NCTA students participating as competitors, volunteers in the livestock and rodeo show rings, and food servers.
Animal Science Professor Terri Jo Bek coordinated a crew of 13 NCTA students to serve beef sandwiches at the Nebraska Cattlemen Beef Pit.

Campus residence halls at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis have a team of familiar faces guiding student life for the 2017-2018 school year.
A team of 12 students in their second or third year at NCTA are serving as resident assistants in three residence halls on campus, said Jennifer McConville, NCTA associate dean.

When Kara Reimers graduated from high school in 2012, she briefly thought about becoming a teacher but instead started college in animal science at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
This week, she launches her second year teaching high school agricultural education, helping Nebraska gain traction in a field calling for more agriculturalists as teachers and FFA chapter advisors.

CURTIS, Neb. – Beef cattle and animal nutrition are among specialties for a new faculty member at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Meredith (Bremer) Cable of rural Bertrand joins NCTA on Monday as an assistant professor of animal science, and starts work with students as classes begin Aug. 21, said Doug Smith, chair of the NCTA Animal Science and Agricultural Education division.

Curtis, Neb. – Aggie alumni of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will gather June 16, 2018 for their next reunion and annual meeting.
Graduates of the Curtis-based high school and college will meet in Curtis for a day of social activities, campus tours, and an awards banquet, announced NCTA Dean Ron Rosati and Dave Mehaffey, Aggie Alumni Association president.
