The NCTA Women In Ag organization is a popular club on the campus of the agricultural college for its community service and educational programs.

Curtis, Neb. – Nine students from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture at Curtis completed their academic programs in December and have been working in agricultural and veterinary technology careers over the winter.
Eight received an associate of applied science (AAS) degree and one was awarded a certificate, said Vicky Luke of NCTA registration and records.
The students are invited to return to the NCTA campus for graduation activities on May 3- 4, 2017, including commencement at 1:30 p.m. on May 4, Luke said.

Aggie rodeo barrel race is Thursday Monday, March 13, 2017

Curtis, Neb. - The rodeo team at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will be hosting a second barrel race in its Jackpot Series on Thursday (March 16) at Mill Park in Curtis.
Prizes are given to top places, with proceeds directed to the Aggie spring rodeo season.
The series includes categories for Peewees (younger athletes) and Open (for all ages). Riders may warm up horses during the open arena at 4:30 p.m., with exhibitions at 5:30 and the run at 6:30 starting with Peewee riders.

Lincoln, Neb. – The “Ice Out” Shooting Sports Competition in Lincoln Saturday proved challenging for collegiate sports enthusiasts.
Aggie Shooting Sports Team members from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture of Curtis faced rigorous competitors and some frigid conditions at the sport which drew students from throughout the Midwest.
Host Midland University of Fremont won the contest, and entered 25 of the 127 individual competitors. Students were from 14 colleges and six states.

Minneapolis, Minn. – Four agribusiness students from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Neb., recently attended the College Conference on Cooperatives in Minneapolis.
Shane Hoer of Blair, Dalton Johnson of Gering, Kayla Reynolds of Litchfield, and Alyssa Novak of Eldorado, joined 19 other Nebraskans traveling to the annual conference, said Jeremy Sievers of NCTA’s Agribusiness Management Systems.

Curtis, Neb. – Dogs, horses, crops, livestock and American agriculture will be in the spotlight in a program offered by an agricultural advocacy group, Protect The Harvest, on March 8 at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
The public is invited to join NCTA students at 6 p.m. for the program, pizza and a movie, “The Dog Lover.”
The program by Shawn Burtenshaw, Protect The Harvest speaker, is sponsored by NCTA Student Senate and NCTA Diversity Committee.
