Andrea Burkhardt has left a visible imprint upon the Aggie campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
She was named Aggie of the Month for March by her peers, NCTA staff and faculty.
The Winnetoon, Nebraska, native is a third-year horticulture and agribusiness student who will graduate in May, then pursue her career in floral design.

Quentin Anderson is headed to college thanks, in part, to his skill with horses.
The Pierce High School senior and FFA chapter treasurer will graduate in May, then head to the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
There, he will double major in animal science and agribusiness, and compete with NCTA Aggie Rodeo in calf roping.
Anderson was among Nebraska FFA members who recently earned Equine Science Proficiency Awards at the Nebraska FFA Convention.

McCook, Neb. – The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture Ranch Horse Team won third place amid six colleges at the April 8-9 “Punchy in Pink” Stock Horse Show in McCook.
The NCTA Aggies hosted the two-day show and coordinated all of the activities including a fun fundraising race for breast cancer, lining up the cattle for the stock handling competitions in working cow horse, and running the show.

McCook, Neb. – There’s cow sense and then there’s horse sense. Combine the two with skilled riders and you have a grand show at the arena.
A packed weekend of ranch horse work for students and avid stock handlers drew more than 80 entries and six colleges to the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture’s Ranch Horse Team “Punchy in Pink” show in McCook.

Manhattan, Kansas – The NCTA Aggies set the academic bar high for their peers in agriculture over the weekend.
Twenty students of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture returned to their Curtis campus from Manhattan, Kansas, bringing home the 2017 Reserve Champion Sweepstakes among two-year colleges.
They repeated as national champs in crops judging, and won team honors in precision agriculture and knowledge bowl.

Brookings, S.D. – Aggie Rodeo from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture took seven student athletes to the spring season opener and ended with three in the final placings.
The NCTA team competed Friday and Saturday at Brookings where the host team was South Dakota State University.
Aggie Lexus Kelsch of McLaughlin, S.D., and her horse, Tigger, won the long round of the Jackrabbit Stampede, with a time of 13.46 seconds.

Manhattan, Kansas – Agricultural know-how for five students at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture won a national title Friday.
The NCTA Aggies advanced through three rounds of “Knowledge Bowl” competition on Thursday to reach their fourth and the championship round Friday evening at the North American Colleges of Teachers in Agriculture (NACTA) conference in Manhattan, Kansas.
