What are your roles and duties within the Aggie community?
I am an assistant recruiter for the college. I try my best to get prospective students to know more about NCTA, apply, and come to school here.

What are Intramural Sports? How many members do you have?
Intramural Sports is part of student life and there are no membership fees. Intramurals are co-ed and open to all students on campus, as well as faculty and staff. For volleyball right now, we have about 85 students involved.

Every educator I know is doing their best to teach students during this COVID-19 pandemic. As teachers, we work hard to keep each student engaged in their studies and to be successful individuals as they grow and learn.
We all want student success. This year and into 2021, that includes emphasis on keeping students, our schools, and communities safe and healthy.

CURTIS, Neb. – Five students and their dogs with the NCTA Stock Dog Team in Curtis recently competed in a stock dog trial at the Rose Ranch in Salina, Oklahoma.
The experience was a learning opportunity for five who competed and for a freshman who accompanied the group, said Leighlynn Obermiller, faculty member at the Veterinary Technology Systems division of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

CURTIS, Neb. – A college campus in Curtis was the site recently of academic contests for nearly 500 FFA members from 34 high schools in two FFA districts.
The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture hosted in-person and virtual Career Development Events (CDE’s) for FFA Districts 9 and 11, said Doug Smith, NCTA’s associate professor of Animal Science and Agriculture Education.

Happy Veterans Day, 2020! A recognition by NCTA and the campus community spanned several days this week.
In the absence of a public observance in Curtis due to COVID-19 concern, a 2020 Veterans Day community service project was planned by the NCTA Diversity Committee.
Elementary students wrote thank you notes, committee chair Rachel Faber contacted the American Legion Posts in Maywood and Curtis to obtain lists of the veteran membership and she ordered supplies for gift bags.
