CURTIS, Neb. – The NCTA Aggie Shotgun Sports Team is headed to a national contest for the first time in school history.

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture’s Aggie team leaves Curtis on Tuesday, and heads to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the 2019 ACUI Collegiate Clay Targets Championships on March 27-30.

Winter challenges NCTA Aggies in sporting clays Tuesday, March 12, 2019

LINCOLN, Neb. – A cold and windy weekend greeted the NCTA Aggie Shotgun Sports Team from Curtis as they competed in the Doane Tiger Invitational Shotgun Sports meet in Lincoln.

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture’s Aggie team placed fourth in the Saturday and Sunday contest held at the Lincoln Trap and Skeet Club, home range for the Tigers.

CURTIS, Neb. - The Aggie Shooting Sports Team started their season on the weekend of September 8 with a freshman-only shoot in Hays, Kansas.

They look forward to their next match at the Prairie Circuit Invite near Lake Maloney south of North Platte on September 29 and 30.

September is a busy month for agriculture as producers are harvesting crops, weaning spring–born calves and drilling fall cover crops and winter wheat.

The bounty from hard work and commitment to goals also pays off for college students engaged in academic enrichment activities at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Our Aggie teams in several collegiate sports have started their fall competitions. Individually, they are testing skills each has honed in classes and programs at NCTA in Curtis.
