CURTIS, Neb. – Youth can triple-dip on science, livestock and fun May 22-23 in Curtis, and stay overnight at a college campus, to boot.
Best to wear the boots, actually, and toss in a bed roll, pillow and overnight supplies.
Youth ages 8 to 18 can attend a livestock camp and animal science field day with hands-on training in evaluating livestock and exploring science.
Activities will be at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Our Aggie students are in the last week of the academic year at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Enthusiasm is high for year-end programs and graduation events on May 1 and 2.
As we prepare for final exams starting Thursday, our veterinary technology students out on internships are saying goodbye to their employers and animal care settings.

CURTIS, Neb. – A first-year veterinary technology and agribusiness student at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, Ivana Burgos, was recently named April’s Aggie of the Month.
Burgos is from Grand Island.
She was nominated for the student award by Professor Mary Rittenhouse, chair of NCTA’s Agribusiness Management Systems.

CURTIS, Neb. – Aggie students from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture can assist Nebraskans with recovery efforts from the state’s devastating floods through a summer serviceship program.
The University of Nebraska, of which NCTA is a fifth campus, is now accepting employment applications for the effort that will place up to 50 NU students in communities across the state, said Ron Rosati, NCTA dean.

CURTIS, Neb. – The summer of 2019 will mark the second time that our small rural campus in Curtis makes a mark on the world agricultural scene.
Fifty students from Rwanda, who are now completing their first year of agriculture courses with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will be engaged in hands-on learning at NU’s Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

The National Weather Service will present a free public seminar Monday evening in Curtis for individuals interested in becoming weather spotters.
The session will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at NCTA.

CURTIS, Neb. - NCTA Aggie Rodeo teams competed April 5-6 at Brookings, South Dakota, in Great Plains Region competition of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
Athletes from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis were led by Quentin Anderson of Pierce, Nebraska as he won the long round of calf roping with a time of 11.7 seconds.
“We competed well at Brookings last weekend and next return to the other side of South Dakota,” said Coach Taylor Rossenbach.
